Holiday Celebration on the Danforth - Dec. 9th

Well folks it's beginning to look and feel a lot like the holidays and it's time to get shoppers excited about all of the wonderful stores and restaurants in our BIA!

On Saturday, December 9th from noon to 2pm we'll be hosting our 2nd Annual Thrill of the Holidays. This year we will have 2 sets of strolling carolers (one for the west end of our BIA, and one for the east end) and a strolling Santa perfect for all of those pictures with young and old alike.

During this event we have 2 opportunities for you to consider participating in:

1. Holiday Scavenger Hunt
We did this last year and it was really successful and fun. Interested businesses may donate a prize, the clue for the prize will be hidden in our holiday planters. Volunteers will be stationed at each planter that has a clue. When the clue is found the volunteer will escort the lucky winner to the business to claim the prize. We will take a photo of the winner claiming their prize in your business and post to our Social Media.

2. Danforth BIA Holiday Gift of Savings
On December 9th our business member Book City will be hosting Food Network's Celebrity Chef Lynn Crawford at their Danforth location. Chef Lynn will be signing copies of her new cookbook. The BIA would like to create special Savings Gift Bags that we would give to the first 50 people who purchase a book between noon and 2pm. These gift bags would contain whatever special offer coupon you would like to donate - examples include: a percentage off regular or sale prices; 2 for 1 offers, half price appetizers etc. It's up to you to decide what offer would best promote your business; and you determine whether the offer is valid just for Dec. 9th or through the holiday season or some date in between. We're limiting the gift bags to 50 - so you would be contributing 50 coupons.

Interested businesses may participate in both of the above activities or just one. If you're interested please email me by Thursday, November 23. We will be promoting this event via social media, posters and regular media.

It should be a very holly and jolly day in our Danforth BIA!
