From Our Friends at Withrow Farmers' Market

Good Afternoon All,

Below is a message from our friends at Withrow Farmers' Market. As you remember they joined us this year in our Thrill of the Grill event. Tomorrow they are doing a number of special things at the market in support of the Danforth community. If you're able to stop by I know they would love to see you. Please see all of the details below.

Thanks,
Susan

Over the past few days, we have come together in unmeasurable ways to show support and connection with each other. We are so moved by the amount of outreach we've received from members of the farmers' market asking for ways that they can help give back to the community and to the families affected by the shooting.

The Toronto Tool Library will be joining us to make #danforthstrong buttons so that community members can show their support and solidarity. Our friend and longtime supporter, Fatima Bregman, has generously offered to cover the costs of the supplies to make the buttons.

Meridian Credit Union at Danforth and Logan will be providing free coffee to the community so that you can reconnect and chat with neighbours and friends with a cup of java in hand.

Home Sweet Farm will be donating all of her wildflowers so that you can bring a bit of joy and happiness into your home and Happy Pops will be providing mini-popsicles to anyone that makes a donation to the cause.

Our friends from The Yoga Sanctuary at Danforth and Broadview will be providing a free yoga class at the market to help you rebalance and bring calmness and zen to your day (class at 10am). Donations will be collected on a voluntary basis after the class. Canadian Blood Services will also be on hand at the market to provide resources and information about donating blood to those in need.

Tomorrow at the farmers' market all of the donations collected will go to the families affected by the Danforth shooting. We would like to share our most heartfelt thank you to all of the local businesses and market patrons for their generosity in this time. See you tomorrow at Withrow Park - 9am to 1pm - rain or shine!
