Celebrate soccer, music, and community on the Danforth with The World Within Our Neighbourhood — a free summer event bringing people together through the joy of the beautiful game. Join the Broadview Danforth BIA on June 12 and 13 for outdoor match-day fun, live music, family-friendly activities, local performances, and a special viewing party for Canada’s opening match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The celebration continues through July 2 with musicians performing in CafeTO parkettes across the neighbourhood, representing cultures and countries from around the world. Come cheer, explore, dance, eat, shop, and experience the incredible mix of global sounds, local businesses, and community spirit that make Broadview Danforth feel like the world in one neighbourhood.

Support Services for Danforth BIA Members this coming week

Good Afternoon All,

I've received information this weekend regarding support services being offered to our Danforth community that I'd like to make sure you know about as we start a new week.

The first is from Acupuncturists Without Borders. They will be hosting free acupuncture field clinics to treat trauma and stress this week as follows:

- All clinics will be held at the Carrot Common, 348 Danforth Avenue, 2nd floor

- Monday, July 30, 2-8pm; Tuesday, July 31, 2:30pm-8:30pm; Thursday, Aug. 2, 2:30pm-8:30pm

Full information is attached to this email.

The second is a meeting organized by the City's Crisis Response Program.

Below is the email sent to me and the information poster is attached to this email.

We will be hosting a Community Meeting for the Danforth on Tuesday July 31st form 6-8 pm at Frankland Community Centre. This meeting will have TPS updates, Community Crisis Response Team as well as staff from Toronto Public Health. There will be conversation surrounding how to cope with traumatic events. Information will also be provided regarding identifying stressors and how to speak and supporting children during these times.

This is a community meeting for local residents and businesses to attend to gather information and access support if needed. This is not intended for the larger city community. We will also be requesting that if media becomes aware of the event that we ask that they do not come into the space. We want to make sure that it is a safe place for residents and businesses to come together to ask questions, share and listen.

Please see attached flyer for more information.

Be well,
