CafeTO Season Closing & City of Toronto Budget Consultations

Good Morning Broadview Danforth BIA Members,

I honestly can't believe it's already October! The summer season flew by!

CafeTO Closing:
As we get into the Fall and approaching Winter seasons it's that time of year when our CafeTO patios must come to a close. Transportation Services will be removing the patio spaces and returning to our Winter lane set-up on Tuesday, October 14. Participating restaurants will be removing their patios over the Thanksgiving weekend, this also includes our BIA parkette locations.

City of Toronto 2026 Public Budget Consultations:
The City of Toronto is once again holding public consultations to hear from residents and business owners about what you want to see in next year's City budget. They have launched an on-line survey and will be holding in-person and virtual meetings. Here is the information and links should you wish to have your say:

Online survey
Until Friday, October 31, Toronto residents can complete an online survey at www.toronto.ca/budget.

In-person and virtual consultations
A total of six consultations will be held across Toronto and online:
In-Person Consultations

  • Tuesday, October 14, 7 to 9 p.m., St. Lawrence Market North, Market Hall, 92 Front St. E.
  • Saturday, October 18, noon to 2 p.m., Etobicoke Olympium, Large Gym, 590 Rathburn Rd.
  • Wednesday, October 22, 7 to 9 p.m., North York Memorial Hall, Burgundy Rooms A & B, 5110 Yonge St.
  • Thursday, October 23, 7 to 9 p.m., Scarborough Civic Centre, Rotunda, 150 Borough Dr.

Virtual Consultations

  • Monday, October 27, noon to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, October 29, 7 to 9 p.m.

Members of the public can register to attend an in-person or virtual consultation at www.toronto.ca/budget.
