A Very BIG Thank You ......

Good Morning Folks,

On behalf of the BIA Board and myself, I wanted to thank all of you for your generous support of the fundraising efforts for the victims of the shooting. The Danforth Strong Go Fund Me account was set up by our own Keiley Abbat, owner of Small Wonders, shortly after the shooting. Yesterday Keiley transferred the money raised over to the Toronto Foundation. A total of $75,000 was raised through the Danforth Strong initiative and that's thanks to all of you and so many of our local residents. In addition, the Billy Talent concert raised $50,000. And thanks goes out to our BIA members - The Danforth Music Hall and NXNE for all of their contributions to this concert. And then there were all of the numerous acts of kindness that our BIA members showed - I'm afraid to try and list everyone as I know I will miss someone but you stepped up with donations of food, massages, mental health services, free dance classes to relieve stress, gift cards etc. We truly have an amazing group of businesses in our Danforth BIA.

Danforth Strong t-shirts are still on sale until next Tuesday, September 25th. You can make your purchase at our Second Cup, Kemi Boutique and Small Wonders. After next Tuesday we will transfer the funds raised over to the Toronto Foundation for disbursement to the victims. And again, thank you to everyone who has purchased a shirt - some of you bought large numbers for all of your staff members.

Thank you all.
